At Quanto Basta, we care deeply about your privacy and the security of your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you use the Quanto Basta mobile application or visit our related websites.

Information We Collect

●Account details: Sign in with Apple, Google, or email creates a Firebase account. We receive your provider user identifier and, if you share them, your name, email, and profile photo
●Onboarding preferences: first name, preferred Italian supermarket, household size, cooking days, weekly budget, meal moods, allergies, dietary needs, loved and avoided foods, kitchen appliances, and grocery shopping day
●App usage data: weekly meal plans, shopping lists, recipe swaps, saved Dispensa recipes, and notification settings needed to run Quanto Basta
●Purchase data: RevenueCat processes your subscription. We store entitlement status using your Firebase user ID; we do not store payment card details
●Device signals: a push notification token if you allow reminders, and (best-effort) an IP address recorded at signup
●Analytics and attribution (optional): if you allow tracking via Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt, we may collect device and engagement data through Firebase Analytics, AppsFlyer, and the Meta SDK
●Crash diagnostics: anonymized crash reports via Firebase Crashlytics to help us fix bugs
●We do not collect HealthKit data, contacts, or a persistent pantry inventory. Dispensa source photos are processed in memory and are not stored

Data Handling and Storage

●Cloud sync: When you are signed in, your profile, onboarding preferences, weekly plans, and saved recipes are stored in Firebase Firestore under your user account
●Generated images: Optional AI-generated recipe hero images may be stored in Firebase Storage
●AI processing: Meal plans and Dispensa recipes are generated server-side with Google Gemini via a Vercel AI Gateway. A Dispensa photo is sent as image data for ingredient recognition, then discarded—we do not keep the source photo
●On-device: A notification preference may be cached locally. Dispensa photos stay in memory only while the recipe is being created
●No hidden access: Quanto Basta team members do not browse your meal plans or recipes as part of normal operations

How We Use Your Information

●Provide, operate, and maintain Quanto Basta's core features (weekly plans, shopping lists, budget, Dispensa recipes)
●Authenticate you securely with Sign in with Apple, Google, or email
●Personalize meals and grocery lists for your supermarket, budget, diet, and household
●Sync your data across devices and restore it after reinstall when you sign in again
●Process, restore, and display your subscription status
●Send grocery-day reminders if you enable notifications
●Improve app reliability and features, if you opt in to analytics and attribution
●Respond to support requests and important service updates

Information Sharing and Disclosure

●We never sell or rent your personal data
●Service providers who help us operate the app (Firebase/Google, Apple, RevenueCat, AppsFlyer, Meta, and our AI inference provider) under their respective privacy terms and our contractual controls
●Legal authorities, if required to comply with law or protect rights, safety, or property

Data Security

●We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your data, including encrypted transport (HTTPS/TLS) and provider-managed cloud security
●However, no security system is impenetrable, and we cannot guarantee absolute security
●For maximum protection, keep your device passcode and Apple ID, Google account, or email password secure

Data Retention

●Account and cloud data: Your Firestore profile, weekly plans, and saved recipes are retained for as long as your account is active
●Local cache: On-device notification preferences remain while the app is installed. Uninstalling Quanto Basta removes local cache; cloud data remains until you delete your account
●Analytics data: Anonymized analytics data is retained for up to 24 months, after which it is automatically deleted
●Support correspondence: Emails and support tickets are retained for up to 12 months after your last interaction

Data Deletion

●You can delete your account and associated cloud data from Impostazioni inside the Quanto Basta app
●Account deletion removes your Firebase Auth user, profile, and weekly meal plans
●You may also email us at support@miu.digital with the subject line "Data Deletion Request"
●We will process deletion requests within 30 days and confirm once your data has been permanently removed
●After deletion, your data cannot be recovered
●Deleting your account does not cancel an App Store subscription. Manage or cancel billing in your Apple ID subscriptions. Purchase records may still exist with Apple and RevenueCat

Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Our website may use cookies to improve your browsing experience. Inside the mobile app we do not use cookies.

For analytics and install attribution (subject to your App Tracking Transparency choice), we may integrate:

• Firebase Analytics to understand aggregate usage
• AppsFlyer to measure marketing performance
• Meta SDK for campaign measurement
• Firebase Crashlytics for anonymized crash diagnostics

Analytics collection tied to tracking remains off until you respond to the system tracking prompt. You can change tracking permission later in iOS Settings.

We Collect Only What We Need

We collect only the minimum information needed to plan meals, build a shopping list, and write recipes from a photo. Your privacy is a core design principle of Quanto Basta.

Privacy-First Design

Dispensa photos are used once to recognize ingredients and are not kept. Cloud sync stores the plan and saved recipes so you can come back to them; tracking stays off unless you allow it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, regulatory, or operational reasons. We will notify you of any material changes through email or prominent notice on our website.

Continued use of our services after policy changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
